Cle Elum, Roslyn and Suncadia sit in the pines on the east slope of the Cascades, and we side homes, cabins and commercial buildings here with the snow loads and the wildfire season in mind. Yakima Siding Pro installs wood lap, bevel, board-and-batten, shiplap and T1-11 siding on homes, cabins and shops in Cle Elum, back-primes every board, seals every cut end and uses finishes rated for high UV, so the wood lasts in our dry, sunny climate.

Cle Elum gets several feet of snow, long freezes and a short, dry, sunny summer with a wildfire smoke season. Fiber cement and metal siding are the right call for fire resistance and snow, and cedar works well when it is finished and maintained. For Cle Elum homeowners who love the look of wood but not the maintenance, engineered wood siding gives the same appearance with a resin-treated core that resists moisture and holds paint longer, at a price between vinyl and cedar.
About Wood Siding
Housing runs from early 1900s miners' homes in Cle Elum and Roslyn to cabins and second homes in the woods and large newer homes at Suncadia and along the Cle Elum River. Every wood siding project in Cle Elum includes sheathing repair, weather barrier and flashing, back-primed boards and sealed cut ends, nailing that lets the wood move without splitting, trim and corner boards to match, and the stain or paint applied as quoted.
We paint and stain the wood siding we install in Cle Elum, and we repaint existing wood exteriors with proper prep, primer and UV-rated finishes.

Wood siding generally costs more than vinyl and fiber cement installed because of the material and the finishing work. Pine and engineered wood sit at the lower end, cedar at the top. Quotes in Cle Elum are free and itemized.
